Substance Use Specialist

Kent State University seeks to fill a position on our treatment team for a Substance Use Specialist on the Kent campus. The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office is part of the Division of Student Life and is dedicated to building a caring and supportive staff committed to serving Kent State University students and providing consultation to the university community.

Substance Use Specialist: 12-month
Candidates with university counseling experience and who have worked within a collegiate recovery community are preferred. Candidates must have a master’s degree in counseling, two years of direct care experience in AOD counseling, be licensed in Ohio as an LPCC or LPCC-S and have at least a basic level of certification as a chemical dependency counselor (CDCA or above). This is a 12-month full-time position that requires flexible work hours, and the salary is commensurate with experience and licensure status. Both experienced and early career clinicians are encouraged to apply.
