Position: Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist
Reports to: QBHS Supervisor
Work Hours: Flexible within the community (You create your schedule)
Office Hours Availability: 8 am – 5 pm Monday-Friday
Position Summary: Provide mental health services to individuals, couples, and families who have
been marginalized. Ultimately, this results in our clients having increased joy in achieving their goals.
Responsibilities:
• Advise individuals or groups with Behavioral Health
• Update individual treatment plan
• Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
• Prepare progress reports and letters for relevant parties
• Educate families and group treatment and prevention programs
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals
• Keep accurate and Medicaid-compliant documentation
• Work closely with the assigned Therapist for maximum client growth
• Continually assess the Client’s needs and appropriateness
• Advocate for clients with collateral support
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Previous experience in case management, social work, or other related fields
• Experience working with an Electronic Health Record System of some sort
• Experience completing Medicaid Billable Progress notes
• Experience in conflict resolution
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have Transportation, a Valid License, and Insurance
Education and Experience:
• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
Additional Compensation:
• Bonuses are payable based on productivity
