CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support, and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. We are looking for compassionate, dedicated professionals to join us in this mission.

We are currently seeking Master’s-level Counselors and Therapists for our:

  • Residential Program
  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program
  • Women’s Recovery Program
  • Outpatient Program

Each program offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact:

Residential Counselors provide individual and group counseling to men receiving intensive residential treatment at RAMAR, helping patients develop the skills needed to build a strong foundation for recovery.

MAT Counselors provide evidence-based counseling, MAT education, non-judgmental support, and treatment services to patients in our Medication-Assisted Treatment program.

Women’s Recovery Program Counselors provide gender-specific therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family counseling.

Outpatient Counselors provide individual and group counseling to outpatient clients working toward their recovery goals.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct patient interviews and coordinate assessments
  • Evaluate patient strengths and identified problem areas
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling
  • Provide case management and coordinate community resources
  • Complete thorough and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision and present patient cases
  • Follow CHC policies, procedures, and applicable professional Codes of Ethics

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Active Ohio license, such as LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC III, and/or LICDC
  • Passion for supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders
  • At least one year of clinical experience treating individuals with substance use disorders preferred
